So, perhaps you and your business have never considered sponsorship or charitable giving…especially to a Roller Der-by League. Better yet, perhaps you and your business have already discovered that sponsorship and charitable giving can successfully expose your brand, bring in new custom, and support good causes that consumers respect. Athens Ohio Roller Derby is a registered 501 c (7) organization, and as such present a new and unique advertising opportunity for your business.
Last year’s 2012 competitive season was a roaring success. With the help and support of businesses such as Pabst Blue Ribbon, Ohio Brew Week, Precision Imprint, Tony’s Tavern, Herbal Sage Tea Company, Jackie O’s, Haffas Records, and many more, Athens Ohio Roller Derby All-Star team, the Appalachian Hell Betties, brought in over 900 spectators to our debut at Bird Arena. As our fans swarmed in from our region and from as far away as California and Vermont, our sponsors were able to create new business, show their current customers how hip they really are, and expose their brand to a diversified demographic. In addition to this direct exposure, the Appalachian Hell Betties are drawing constant attention from the local media. Many times over we have been featured on WOUB and other radio stations, as well as being front and center in the Messenger, Athens News, Soul of Athens, and Country Living magazine. We have strong and viable relations with the public and media that will indeed demonstrate your support.
This 2013 competitive season will continue to bring attention and record numbers of new and familiar faces to south-east Ohio. Not only that, as we travel to locations like Charleston, WV and Dayton, OH, we will be bringing your brand along…
You see, we don’t just want your money. We want to support your business as well. Athens Ohio Roller Derby is incredibly active within the Athens region. Participating in charitable giving ourselves, the Appalachian Hell Betties have linked up with organizations such as My Sister’s Place, Athens Community Center, and Wayne National Forest. So you scratch our backs, we scratch yours…as well as the backs of many other organizations that support us all. That’s what it is all about for us. Building business and the teamwork mentality that can strengthen our community.
Based on the successes of our previous season, Athens Ohio Roller Derby has planned 2 major home events, June 22nd and August 10th 2013, and one scrimmage with free open entrance to the public on July 13, 2013. These events will provide specific advertising and brand exposure possibilities for you and your business. We have also ex-ceeded the boundaries of our reputation and are actively creating opportunities to play many more games, further afar, than we did last year. We are ROLLING! And we hope you can join us!
